All about Wilmington

Wilmington is New Hanover County’s county seat. It is a city in the state of North Carolina and situated within the southeastern portion of North Carolina. In addition, it is home to several tourist attractions such as the USS North Carolina Battleship Memorial and Airlie Gardens as well as the State University of North Carolina and Cape fear Museum.

The city also owns a big historic district. It is a convenient location if you are after the beaches for is only a short drive away from the so called triangle which comprises of Durham, Chapel Hill and Raleigh. According to the 2005 Census, it has more than 96,000 inhabitants. Its racial makeup is 26 percent African American, 70 percent White while the remaining 14 percent make up the other races.
