If you are looking for the perfect place in the Bahamas to escape the stress of life then try the The Cove Eleuthera

Bahama vacations can be expensive, and some hotels in the Bahamas will cost you a fortune, especially if you choose a well known brand name. Why not try somewhere like Eleuthera where you will find a lovely small hotel with only 23 rooms called The Cove. Whilst it isn’t what could be called one of the cheap hotels Bahamas it isn’t as expensive, and it is a great deal more personal than some of the gin palaces you could name.

In addition it is rated the best or second best Eleuthera Bahamas Hotel, and well deserves this status, although it might be better described as a beachfront in which sits in 28 acres of grounds with its own private sandy beach.
One of the recurring comments made by guests is that the staff are so friendly, and this is an important feature of The Cove Eleuthera.

In design The Cove is very simple, just a group of small cottages spread around a main building which contains the bar, restaurant and sitting area. Being beachfront means exactly that, but when you book try to ensure you are seaview/beachfront, because some accommodations face the small parking lot
Given the opportunity it is worth spending a little more for a one bedroom suite right on the beach.

Everyone looks for a different thing for their Bahama vacations, so it would be fair to point out that The Cove Eleuthera really isn’t the kind of place for people who need nightlife, or for those with teenage children who are looking for action.

This is a real vacation getaway place, probably better for couples, and it is really secluded. Whilst this in itself has obvious advantages, there are also slight disadvantages to this as well. For example the food in the restaurant whilst excellent, and Wallace as good a barman as you will meet anywhere, you will want to get out and about on Eleuthera, just for a change of scene.

For this reason you will need to hire a 4x4 type jeep, and the staff at The Cove will be very helpful in this respect. This will now allow you to explore the rest of Eleuthera and its beaches. There aren’t that many restaurants, but you will enjoy the food, although people from the UK might find them a bit pricey at the moment.

For a bit of night life, you can drive to Elvinas in Gregory Town, where there is live music.
It is however always nice to come back to The Cove, because it has a good sort of family feel to it.
The beach is good, but you’ll probably want beach type swimming shoes for protection, but you must visit Harbour Island which is about half an hour away and is home to the most amazing pink sand beaches, although the ones on Eleuthera are pretty good too!!

For those readers who want to know more about their accommodation, then they can rest assured that The Cove deserves its reputation for top class accommodations amongst the hotels in the Bahamas. All the rooms are air conditioned , with vaulted ceilings, fans, and tiled terraces. They have no phones or televisions, not that you will need either because this Eleuthera Bahamas Hotel is a real getaway vacation spot allowing you to escape the trappings of modern living. Enjoy
