Brookhaven hotels are hard to come by since thus unincorporated city houses upper end housing units. The best place to look for a hotel near Brookhaven is in Buckhead Atlanta, Georgia.

Brookhaven is situated along DeKalb County s western edge. It is an unincorporated city of Georgia that adjoins Buckhead and Sandy Springs. It lies on the west side of Chamblee, on the north section of Buford Highway and it is south of Intersection 285. Peachtree Road bisects Brookhaven as its historic community lie along its northern section, stretching over Windsor Parkway, Peachtree Dunwoody Road and Mabry Road.

The city of Brookhaven has 2 golf courses – the Peachtree Golf Club and the Capital City Club which is currently part of the National Registry of Historic Places. Brookhaven is also considered as one of the most affluent communities of metropolitan Atlanta, having an average median household income amounting to $236,393.

At current, Brookhaven is experiencing influx when it comes to new developments. This includes Brittany, Ashford Park, Drew Valley, Brookhaven Fields and Lynwood neighborhoods. This has apparently reduced the number of houses that were meant for the lower middle class and seemed to shunned off the modest neighborhoods that surround the historic estates close to the Capital City Club. These modest homes along Brookhaven Fields which lie south of Peachtree Road by Colonial Drive and Roxboro Road are now replaced by upper class and upper middle class housing. This means, only families with high dual income are able to afford living in this community.
