Are you set to be married in a year or even just a few months? If so, you may have finished planning your wedding ceremony and reception. Now, you are on to the honeymoon. As you know, the world is filled with lots of destinations perfect for honeymoons, but you should closely examine the island of Jamaica. Should you like what you see, keep reading on for some helpful tips for planning an all inclusive Jamaica honeymoon.

Consider doing a destination wedding. Most brides and grooms start planning the honeymoon last, but you might be different. You may have always dreamed of an all inclusive Jamaica honeymoon and are checking prices right now. If that is the case, why not consider making your trip a dual trip: a destination wedding and honeymoon rolled all into one. Many all inclusive resorts in Jamaica offer free standard weddings for guests who stay 3 nights, 5 nights, or 7 nights.

Look at the resort’s atmosphere. Without a doubt, honeymoons are supposed to be romantic. Unfortunately, not all hotels, motels, and resorts give you that romantic atmosphere. Yes it can be hard to gauge the environment of a place when you are thousands of miles away, but you can look at pictures and read reviews. Look at pictures of the room you want to stay in, does it look romantic? Can you see yourself having a great honeymoon at the resort of your choice? You better if you want it to be memorable.

Upgrade to a suite. All inclusive resorts in Jamaica are known for their options. One of your options is your ability to upgrade. Most traditional rooms do come with a view of the beach, but how would you like a view of the ocean or a presidential suite? Of course these upgrades will cost extra but remember this is your honeymoon; an once in a lifetime event so splurge a little.

Consider onsite eating choices. When planning your honeymoon, food may be the last thing on your mind, but it is a factor you want to consider when planning your all inclusive Jamaica honeymoon. Some resorts and hotels will only give you one or two places to eat at. Since your food, drinks, and snacks are included in the cost of your stay, you want to eat onsite but you also want to have choice. A good all inclusive Jamaica resort will have (at the very least) a bar, casual restaurant, and an upscale restaurant. This selection is nice because you might want to enjoy a nice sit down meal the first night, but be so busy the rest of your trip that you don’t have time.

Closely examine onsite activities. As mentioned above, honeymoons are supposed to be romantic. But they are also supposed to be a celebration of your marriage. As you know, we all like to celebrate differently and that is why you want to closely examine onsite activities. One couple may be content staying in bed all day or sunbathing together along the beach, but you and your spouse may want to jump in the water and go snorkeling or even kayaking together. If you want your vacation to not only be romantic, but fun and adventurous, opt for a resort with onsite activities you can enjoy. Most often, you will find multiple swimming pools and hot tubs, a fitness room, a spa, tennis courts and beach activities that include snorkeling, scuba diving, windsurfing, and kayaking.

Book in your reservations at an all inclusive resort in Jamaica ahead of time. If you didn’t already know, you need a passport to travel to and from Jamaica from the United States; give yourself time to order this passport. Still, you want to consider booking your all inclusive Jamaica honeymoon months in advance. You will find no shortage of rooms, but you want to book your trip in advance if you plan to upgrade to a suite.

Know what is or isn’t included. Whether you are still examining all of your all inclusive Jamaica honeymoon staying options or if you have already booked your trip, play close attention to what is and isn’t included. An all inclusive trip covers your room, drinks, snacks, tips, food, and onsite entertainment. To ensure you make use of extras listed as inclusions, familiarize yourself with them. To ensure you bring enough spending money, familiarize yourself with the few services that will cost extra, such as a massage at the onsite spa.
