There’s no doubt that a Malta 5 star experience may cost a little more than an ordinary holiday.
Therefore, asking why is perfectly understandable. Allow us to explain...

Malta as a holiday destination

This fantastic island, together with its sister island of Gozo, has been high on the list of places to visit for centuries. However, there is seeing Malta and experiencing a Malta 5 star holiday – and they’re often two very different things For example, a luxury holiday base may be considered essential. As with anywhere in the Mediterranean, Malta can be hot in the height of summer so having somewhere that is spacious, open to the sea breezes and air conditioned, may be towards the top of an agenda of ‘must haves’. Malta is fortunate in that it has some excellent luxury hotels that retain a certain charm even in the somewhat touristy environment. It also offers a superior selection of luxury villas with private swimming pools etc. Understanding the needs of you and your party and matching these to the right quality accommodation is something that a Malta 5 star holiday will guarantee.

Open up Malta

Malta’s history goes back around 7000 years and many previous peoples and rulers have left their legacy in the art, architecture, language, culture and cuisine. Although Malta and Gozo are small islands, there is a vast amount to see and do and there is something for everyone’s taste.

One of the big attractions, apart from the weather of course, is the sea, beaches and coves. Malta offers some of the best diving around and is also great for beginners.

There are a large number of sporting activities if you’re feeling energetic or if not, you can just find a small cove and soak up the sun. If you like exploring, Malta’s relatively small size makes that easy – and there is a huge amount to see. Visiting Malta without exploring the magnificent old city of Valletta (the capital) with its stunning harbour would be inconceivable. Not only is there superb architecture to see but also a range of cultural activities, galleries and museums. If your tastes also run to more materialistic things; Valletta won’t disappoint you with its range of shops.

The ancient capital of Mdina surrounded by its walls on a hilltop; it also a must. The large villas and squares of the ancient wealthy families are superb. You can also explore many of Malta’s ancient megalithic structures, some of which go back in time to before Stonehenge and the Pyramids. In fact on Gozo, you’ll find the world’s oldest freestanding stone structure at Ggantija.

The town of Mosta also has the world’s third largest unsupported dome and several other ancient sights that are worth exploring.

No mention of Malta would ever be complete without reference to the Blue Grotto – a stunning series of giant sea caves that can only really be explored by boat.

The role of a Malta 5 star holiday

No short article can possibly describe the attractions of this island – there is simply so much to see and do. As Malta was part of the British Empire for over 150 years, the associations with Britain are strong and English is very widely spoken. So, getting around is easy and the Maltese people are known for the warmth of their welcome.

However, on a typical visit to Malta, your time probably isn’t unlimited. You probably won’t be as interested in some sights as you are in others. That’s why the local expertise available to you on a Malta 5 star holiday is so important. It can ensure that you go to see the very best attractions that interest you. It can also mean that you’ll see things at the best times when places are quieter and able to be experienced at their best. The experts can also help you find restaurants that are authentic and local rather than international and aimed at tourists.

In a nutshell, that is the difference between experiencing Malta and just holidaying there. That’s what your Malta 5 star holiday expert will be able to deliver. What are you waiting for?
