The grueling college term in colleges in the US is finally over and it is time now for a well-deserved break from the classes, tests and homework. And if you are confused about where to go for a relaxing holiday, you can safely consider Jamaica . For one, it is located very near the US . Then there are other factors that go in its favor.
For one, the weather in Jamaica is simply beautiful ranging from 70 to 80 degrees in summers. There is a rainy season but it rains for a few hours and eventually the sun comes out in a few hours time and you can go out again.

Jamaica is a must visit for those seeking a refreshing tropical break. Jamaica boasts some of the best beaches in the world where you can simply laze around taking in the sun or jump right into the water for swimming or activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, water skiing and of course, swimming.

Most importantly, Jamaica has a fair share of holiday homes which you can rent for the duration of your stay. What makes these Jamaica accommodation rentals as they are commonly known, special is the fact that they are part hotel and part home in that they combine all the privacy and space of a home with the services normally associated with a hotel and that too at rates that are much less than that of a hotel. These Jamaica accommodation rentals comprise private villas, cottages and apartments ranging from one bedroom to several and amenities ranging from the comfortable to the luxurious. In other words, you can book one which is easily within your budget and requirements. You can also ask the staff to arrange for airport pick-ups and transfers as also arrange for tours. You can also prepare your own meals in the kitchen which means you are spared the necessity of eating out all the time during your stay. Otherwise, the services of housekeeping staff and cook are included in the package so you don't have to cook if you don't want to.  All you have to do is relax and explore the island at your leisure and pace. Given the fact that there is enough space in your rentals, you can even invite guests to come and stay with you and even entertain your friends in the garden or in your living space. With so much going in their favor, it is little wonder then these Jamaica villas and cottages are so popular on the island.
If it is Jamaica , it has to be the beaches. There are plenty of beaches on the island where you can have some privacy or be part of the crowds. Some holiday rentals like the Silver Sands villas also have their own private stretch of beach that is great for picnics, swimming and snorkeling. One of the best beaches in Jamaica is the Seven Miles Beach in Negril where there is plenty action and water activities. Besides, the beach is dotted with vendors selling sumptuous local delights so you don't have to venture out far in search of food and drinks.
Then there are the awesome outdoors. You can trek up the Blue Mountains and enjoy the panoramic vistas from the peak and appreciate the rich biodiversity on your way up. In fact, there are numerous botanical gardens and reserve where you can admire the beautiful flora and fauna. If you are traveling with kids, you'll find plenty of opportunities to keep them happy and busy. There is the Dolphins cove where you can swim with the dolphins as also the Kool Runnings Park , a unique water world where you'll find slides for the kids and adults.
As a closing note, be sure to book your Jamaica villas and cottages well in advance to avoid disappointment and also to get the best deals.
