If you are planning a family trip to Jamaica, there are many places you can visit such as Negril, Kingston and Ocho Rios. All these places promise fun, activities, sightseeing and adventure. To ensure that you make the most of your time together, you can choose to stay in Jamaica accommodation rentals comprising private villas, cottages and apartments to cater to families, couples and friends who want to spend quality time together, relax, indulge and rejuvenate and don't wish to cram each moment of their stay with touristy activities. Jamaica is a destination that has to be savoured and not digested in a hurry and this is exactly what these private holiday homes allow you to do.

As already stated, there are a number of places you can visit, one of them which is Ocho Rios.

Ocho Rios is without the most famous tourist site on the island. The main attraction here is the Dunn's River Falls. You can enjoy the sight of the water cascading down from a height of more than 600 feet, on its way to meet the Caribbean Sea but more than interesting than that is that you can actually climb up the falls. Yes, you got that right. Climbing up this waterfall is what makes this place so different. The water here cascades over a series of rocks that form a natural staircase, which you can climb accompanied by a guide. Given the fact that the stairs are slippery, you can join a human chain making its way stumbling and balancing on the top. You can carry along a waterproof camera to capture the fun and of course, the amazing views from each step.

Another point of interest nearby is Green Grotto caves that are believed to have sheltered the original inhabitants of the island from the attacks of the Spaniards. Over the years they played home to smugglers and runaway slaves. The caves have more to them than just their colourful history. For one, they are home to a number of bats that are to be found on the island. Enjoy a guided tour of the caves and you'll come to know of various stories and legends associated with these caves.

If you are in Ocho Rios you simply have to visit the water park, Dolphins Cove. As the name suggests, the main attraction here are a family of dolphins and what's more you can actually swim with a family of these bottlenose animals.

With so much to offer, it is little wonder that Ocho Rios offers a wide range of rentals for people who wish to have convenient access to the attractions. If you don't know which one to choose, you can consider Ocho Rios apartments conveniently located in a secured complex overlooking the Ocho Rios bay.
